We Need You, Here's Why:

OUR FIRST STEPS

Senpai Magazine has a goal to document, promote, and grow alongside the anime community in America. Although a lot has changed since the 90's when anime magazines flourished, there is still room for a good magazine with tons of excellent content to grow. Unfortunately, most rellevant information is hard to find as people turn to the internet where anyone can pretty much say anything regardless of its validity. Top that with the fact that many other magazines only promote what they think you, the reader, should like because they are getting paid to say it. Not only do we share what we think is the most interesting, compelling, or just plain cool aspects of anime culture, but we also shape it and affect how readers in America and other countries perceive anime and the culture that surrounds it.

At the moment we are enduring the hardships of trying to launch a printed magazine. Print-on-demand, although very convenient, is very expensive and makes the pricing of our magazine much more than we would like it to be. If we are successful, we hope that we will create an impact that will benefit older anime fans. We also hope to bring some attention to the New England area as well as the East Coast as a whole. Every piece of media seems to forget that stuff happens in this part of the country as well, not just California!
